What is so scary is the number of people who will smile as they say this pledge, including most of the people that answered this question. Sheep.
Stimulus bill, Jobs bill, same thing. Just dumping money in to calm the derivative bubble. Why don`t we just let people suffer a-little bit and the flaws of our fractional reserve debt based system will be exposed. Frankly I don`t have the heart to tell people they have to suffer which is why I understand why Obama is chasing it but at the same time Obama is sticking up for the system that is harming us.

From what I can determine, Obama is a man of his generation, where, self gratification and moving ahead is the directive.
I know what McCain has done, five years of torture, and, as a Senator, deriding his own party, to his demise in 2000.
What has Obama accomplished? Lying about campaign finance reform? Going to the center after embracing those that would do anything but?
Please, tell me, how has Obama sacrifieced himself on behalf of his nation, and, not his ambition?

Both Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama favor central planning. For Carter, this resulted in stagflation, high interest rates and zero growth.
If Obama does the same, why will he get different results?

Recession, credit crisis, massive war debts, massive national debt, medicare & Social security in big trouble. And with the Recession even Big Business & the rich have less to give. Obama’s universal health care program alone will be the biggest welfare program in US history.
The is no way that Obama could not tax the middle class if he wants all his new welfare programs. He has to tax them. But he sure won’t tell anyone that until of course he’s already in office.
